For foreign customers:
- Remittance Order (as per form of Eximbank)
- Valid passport/visa
For Vietnamese customers: Subject to remittance purposes, customers shall provide Eximbank with following papers:

For overseas studies (payment for school fees or living expenses, etc.)
- Request for Buying, Transferring and Bringing Foreign Currencies Overseas (as per form of Eximbank).
- Fee notification of foreign schools or training centers sent to students:

If such notifications is not sent in the name of the students, the person who transfers or brings foreign currencies must attach the Admission Letter of the training center or papers evidencing that the student is learning at such training center.

If the training center does not send a notification about expenses for food, accommodation, and other relevant costs, customers are entitled to transfer or bring an amount of foreign currency equivalent to the living expenses apart from the school fees which have been notified.
- Copy of valid passport and visa. In case of expired visa or no visa, the following papers are needed:

Copy of passport along with papers issued by local competent agencies allowing the student to stay and study.

As for some countries requiring the transfer of school fees to training centers before issuing visa, customers only need to hand in a notarized copy of passport or un-notarized copy together with the original one for the Bank to compare.

As for some countries requiring no visa, customers only need to hand in passport for the first remittance, and enclose with papers evidencing the residence at such country for the following times.
In case the remittance is executed by relatives, the following papers are further required:
- Papers evidencing relative relationship (family book, birth certificate, etc.)
- Copy of ID card and the original for comparison (in case of remitting foreign currencies), copy of passport and the original for comparison (in case of bringing foreign currencies).
- Papers evidencing the Guardian (in case of remitting to the Guardian):
+ Residence papers or papers of the training center stating name of the Guardian or
+ Letter from the training center introducing the foreign institution functioning as the Guardian of the students and
+ Letter of the foreign institution having the function of guarding (introduced by the training center) introducing the name of the Guardian of the students.

Remittance for permanent settlement
- Application for buying, transferring or bringing foreign currencies overseas (as per form of Eximbank).
- Copy of the document issued by competent agencies in foreign countries allowing permanent settlement or papers evidencing the overseas permanent settlement (green card, settlement visa, etc.).
- Copy of the family book in Vietnam and copy of the passport of the immigrants for overseas permanent settlement.
- Papers evidencing the origin of the foreign currencies to be transferred or brought overseas.
- The transferred or brought amount shall not exceed 30,000 USD per person for each year. Each household shall be only entitled to transfer or bring no more than 150,000 USD for each year. The remaining amount should be deposited to banks to be transferred (both the principal and arising interests) in the following years but not exceeding the required limit as above.
- In case of selling properties and supplying Eximbank with the notarized contract of selling properties, customers are entitled to transfer the entire amount equal to the asset value as stated in such contract.

Remittance for supporting relatives
- Application for buying, transferring or bringing foreign currencies overseas (as per form of Eximbank).
- Copy of ID card and the original for comparison (in case of remitting foreign currencies) or copy of passport and the original for comparison (in case of bringing foreign currencies).
- Papers evidencing the relative relationship (family book, birth certificate, etc).
- Papers evidencing that the supported person is living overseas (for examply, copy of passport showing the nationality of the local country, settlement visa or residence license, etc.).
- The amount permitted to transfer or bring is averagely 7,000 USD per person for each year.
- If customers can submit necessary papers proving their demands for a bigger amount, Eximbank may consider to transfer more than 7,000 USD per person per year.

Remittance for business, visit or travel
- Application for buying, transferring or bringing foreign currencies overseas (as per form of Eximbank).
- Fee notification letter of the foreign country (if any).
- Decision of assignment for overseas business (if any).
- Invitation letter for overseas business (if any).
- Copy of valid passport with visa (for countries requiring entry visa) and the original passport for comparison.
- Air ticket (in case of bringing cash foreign currencies) .
- The amount permitted to transfer or bring is 7,000 USD per person for each time.
- In case of transferring or bringing more than 7,000 USD, customers are required to prepare an estimate of costs in foreign countries (as per form of Eximbank) and take responsibility in using foreign currencies overseas.

Remittance of inheritance
- Application for buying, transferring or bringing foreign currencies overseas (as per form of Eximbank).
- Original or notarized copy of documents issued by competent agencies on the inheritance or testament, or the agreements among legal inheritors.
- Authorization documents of the inheritors (notarized and certified) or documents proving the legal representation status of the applicant for bringing or transferring foreign currencies.
- Papers evidencing the origin of the foreign currencies to be transferred or brought overseas.
- Copy of ID card and the original for comparison (in case of transferring foreign currencies) or copy of passport and the original for comparison (in case of bringing foreign currencies).

- For the person enjoying the medical treatment
- Application for buying, transferring or bringing foreign currencies overseas (as per form of Eximbank).
- Acceptance for medical treatment of the foreign hospital or letter of the local hospital recommending overseas medical treatment (if any).
- Fee notification letter or cost estimate of the foreign hospital (if any).
- Copy of passport of the patient and the original for comparison.
- For relatives of patients, the following papers are also required apart from the above papers:
- Papers evidencing the relative relation (Family book, birth certificate, etc.).
- Copy of ID card and the original for comparison (in case of transferring foreign currencies) or copy of passport and the original for comparison (in case of bringing foreign currencies).

- Application for buying, transferring or bringing foreign currencies overseas (as per form of Eximbank).
- Relevant papers evidencing the remittance.
- Copy of ID card and the original for comparison (in case of transferring foreign currencies) or copy of passport and the original for comparison (in case of bringing foreign currencies).
